The WHRO (Wise Hamrah Reconstruction Organization, which is now renamed as TEDHO) was established on 6th October 2003 under registration number 1629, registered with the Economy Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. TEDHO was reformed with the goal of assisting Afghan society in realizing the same predetermined goals of making Afghanistan a better place for vulnerable men, women, and children in terms of their basic rights and humanitarian services, in collaboration with other credible national and international partners. TEDHO has had a strong track record of providing humanitarian services to Afghanistan, including support for education programs, vocational training, and infrastructure projects. Over the years, TEDHO has made significant contributions towards improving the lives of vulnerable men, women, and children in the country. Job Descriptions:

Help Desk Assistant Job Description:

  • Establish and manage the Help Desk at the distribution sites to provide information and support to beneficiaries.
  • Ensure the Help Desk is staffed during all distribution activities and is accessible to all beneficiaries.
  • Respond to inquiries and complaints from beneficiaries in a timely, respectful, and empathetic manner.
  • Provide information to beneficiaries on the eligibility criteria, distribution schedules, entitlements, and the complaints/feedback mechanism.
  • Assist beneficiaries in navigating the distribution process, including directing them to the correct distribution points.
  • Maintain a detailed log of all inquiries, complaints, and feedback received at the Help Desk.
  • Escalate any serious complaints or protection-related issues to the Field Monitor or District Supervisor for immediate action.
  • Analyze the trends and patterns in the feedback received and provide regular reports to the District Supervisor.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the community engagement and feedback strategy.
  • Coordinate with the Distribution Officers, Field Monitors, and community volunteers to ensure the effective functioning of the Help Desk.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in customer service or community-based project implementation is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in local languages (Dari/Pashto) is required.
  • Good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Willingness to work in a challenging field environment.
