Union Aid (UA) was established by a group of Afghan philanthropists and social activists in July 1979 in Peshawar, Pakistan. Union Aid was serving Afghan Refugees and host communities living in/around refugee camps through various projects in three main sectors; health, education and skill development. UA has been providing basic health services through hospitals, Basic Health Units (BHUs), labor rooms, provision of prosthetic limbs and first aid trainings. UA facilitated Afghan Refugees in education sector through providing formal basic and higher education, skill development programs for men and women, literacy centers and scholarships.

Union Aid is actively providing regular support in humanitarian & development sectors such as, Healthcare, Nutrition, Education, Scholarships, Technical Vocational Education Trainings, Family Support Programs, Emergency Response and Support, Livelihoods, Food Security, Shelter, Construction/Rehabilitation of community level infrastructures, Environmental Protection, and WASH.

The position is responsible  for managing the overall activities on the construction site, review of project documents, including but not limited to: BOQs, SWO (Scope of Work), in addition to the site management, estimation, scheduling, quality check and QA/AC. Collaboration with the potential supplier, to ensure timely service’s delivery, review and checking the sample of each material and ensuring that the materials are aligned based on the Engineering Standards and the realities on the construction site.

Responsibilities:

• Estimation of the needed material for the proposed project;
• Ensure the right, quality material, are reflected in the BOQ, and suggest any amendments as requires;
• Daily supervision and reporting of all construction progress against designs and specifications;
• Plan and schedule the procurement and construction activity for Infrastructure programs;
• Ensuring the Quality Check of Material on routine bases, ensuring the quality review before utilization of the material in the project site.
• Ensuring the project site, are cleaned and the safety measures are adhered during the project execution cycle.
• Initiate and update the UA management on the progress made under the project on daily/weekly base.
• Address any Punch list that are remain unconsidered by the supplier, to ensure the ProJet is completed based on the agreed terms and conditions.

• Bachelar of Social Science in Civil Engineering,
• Two years practical working expereince in construction,
• Good report writer in English,
• Frequent travel to construction sites
