Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (AYE Project)

YHDO is a non-governmental and non-for-profit organization established in 2009, registered with ministry of economy in Afghanistan. YHDO works with interdisciplinary professionals to develop and implement innovative, culturally appropriate, evidence based interventions

Overall Responsibility: The M&E Officer is primarily responsible for the design and implementation of project monitoring tools, procedures and surveys to assess the project progress and its success in achieving the targets.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Working with the project manager and Monitoring Manager to implement the monitoring strategy, frameworks and tools
• Ensure the satisfactory achievements of project indicator
• Develop implement project monitoring and evaluation systems in order to provide regular information on progress towards indicators of outputs and objectives and assess the impact of the project.
• Conduct field visits to the outreach activities implementation sites of the project.
• Collect and analyze data for situation analysis, program/project planning.
• Prepare tables, graphs and other statistical data, report outcome of analysis and propose corrective action.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative assessment during the project cycle.
• Prepare a monthly Monitoring Work Plan and maintain hard copies of all monitoring reports.
• Share findings and evidence with relevant stakeholders and contribute to discussions on how to re-direct interventions if appropriate.
• Facilitate the utilization of M&E data for advocacy and resource mobilization

Skills and Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor in social Sciences with substantial monitoring and evaluation experience
• Experience of working in adolescents and youth programs
• Demonstrable ability to consolidate information from multiple resources, design, development and implementation of M&E frameworks
• Strong English written and oral communication skills; ability to present information effectively to various audiences, large and small; and sound computer literacy skills
• Able to provide reports on/before its due time and upon any further request by the immediate supervisor(s) and/or Donor Agency
• Respect of confidentiality and sense of security
