Website Developer

Focus Development Organization (FDO) is a leading NGO committed to empowering communities in Afghanistan through education, health, and economic development initiatives. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Officer to join our dynamic team.

We are seeking a skilled Website Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, and modifying websites, from layout to function, according to specified requirements. Our goal is to create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, create, and optimize web content to ensure it is accessible and visually engaging.
• Ensure website functionality and stability across devices, i.e., desktop, mobile, tablet.
• Work with development teams and managers to keep the site secure and the data protected.
• Provide technical and graphical aspects of the website.
• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code using best software development practices.
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.

• Proven working experience in web programming.
• Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS.
• Familiarity with at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, ASP.NET, JavaScript, Python or Ruby on Rails.
• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices.
• Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object-Oriented Programming, and web application development.
• Hands-on experience with network diagnostics and network analytics tools.
• Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process.
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines.
• BS in computer science or a related field is preferred.
