Afghan Women Coordination and Promotion Organization (AWCPO) was founded in 2013 as a non-profit, non-political, and non-governmental organization registered with the Ministry of Economics of Afghanistan. Dedicated to the welfare, upliftment and well-being of Afghans with a primary focus on women empowerment, humanitarian assistance, education, livelihood, emergency relief and WASH.
Job Description
AWCPO is working towards delivering humanitarian assistance funded by the World Food Program(WFP). The Project Supervisor is responsible for supervising all project-related activities accurately, supporting the project manager in developing and effectively managing program timelines to ensure timely completion of program deliverables.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Delegating tasks and setting deadlines to operational staff.
- Program Coordination with local stakeholders.
- Monitoring survey, scope registration, and cash/food distribution process.
- Ensuring accurate exchange of information and updates with donor’s monitors and its respective partners in the survey, scope registration, and distribution process.
- Assist in preparing program progress reports and documenting program success.
- Writing up reports, plans, and presenting them to the office.
- Monitor the team’s performance and motivate team members.
- Listening to team members’ feedback and resolving any issues or conflicts.
- Ensuring teams work together to deliver quality work.
- Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Performing equipment, material, and routine site inspections.
Job Requirements
- A university degree in a relevant field. A higher educational degree will be preferred.
- A minimum of five years of progressive experience in project supervision and management.
- Demonstrable experience in a humanitarian context.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Team leading and Management skills.
- Ability to spend time in the field and travel to multiple districts.
- Excellent reporting skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Computer Proficiency, especially the Microsoft Office package.
- Fluency in Pashto, Dari, and English is a must.
