Manage and maintain database systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.

Perform routine database maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and archiving.

Implement and monitor replication, clustering, and failover strategies to ensure data availability and disaster recovery.

Analyze database performance and identify areas for improvement.

Conduct database tuning, query optimization, and indexing to enhance performance.

Monitor database performance and resource usage, taking proactive measures to prevent performance issues.

Implement and enforce database security policies to protect sensitive data.

Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments of database environments.

Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues, including connectivity, performance, and data integrity problems.

Provide 24/7 On-Call support for critical database and Backup systems as required.

Work closely with application support teams to resolve database-related issues.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.

Prepare regular reports on database performance, security, and capacity planning.

Document and share knowledge related to database management practices.

Propose and implement improvements to database management processes and tools.

Oversee and manage all backup operations, ensuring that data is securely backed up and readily available for recovery in case of data loss or disaster.

Configure and schedule regular backups using Dell Technologies, including Data Domain and Networker Software, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Monitor backup operations for any failures or issues, and generate reports on backup performance, storage usage, and data protection status.

Maintain and optimize backup infrastructure, including storage devices, backup servers, and related software, to ensure high availability and performance.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex backup issues.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in database, Backup & Storage administration, with a focus on enterprise-level.

Expertise in database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.

Strong knowledge of database security, backup/recovery strategies, and performance tuning.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in Telecom environment.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Certification:

Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
