Women Activities & Social Service Association (WASSA) established in 2002 in Afghanistan, as a non-governmental organization, committed to seeking ways for women empowerment in Afghanistan. WASSA aims to promote women's equal participation in the socio-economic sectors of the country. WASSA works directly with communities to bring change in the social attitude of the community regarding women.

Job Description

 

1.            STOCK CONTROL AND TRACKING

  • A stock card exists for all items and is updated systematically and immediately for every entry and exit of the item.
  • Physical inventory (stock take) should be realized every three months.

2.            STORAGE

  • Stocks should be well-ventilated and kept at the correct temperature and humidity.
  • Items should be stacked in an organized manner, following the guidelines.
  • Stocks should be organized logically and neatly.
  • Ensures that the warehouse facilities are supplied with related equipment and consumables (stock cards, cardboard boxes, adhesive tape, ladders, trolleys etc.)

3.            RECEPTION AND DISPATCH

  • Receive supplies and check the reception documents, quantities, and quality before writing comments, dating, and signing.
  • Report any discrepancies (document, quantity, and quality) immediately.
  • Receive written demand for dispatch from the appropriate persons.
  • Prepares outgoing goods in accord with the demand: packaging and instructions.
  • Supervise handling staff (daily workers) when required.

4.            ADDITIONAL TASKS

  • On request performs any other additional duties given by the immediate supervisor in order to allow the organization to function optimally
  • Updating of stock cards, monthly theoretical inventory, and tri-monthly stock take.
  • Immediately report any loss food commodities, suspicious or otherwise to the line Manager.
  • Any additional tasks assigned by line Manager

Job Requirements

  • Have knowledge in LASS MILE system and record the food commodities as per way bill exactly.
  • 2 years of relevant experience
  • At least a 12 Class Degree related field
  • The storekeeper should be fit and healthy and capable of physical work.
  • Basic first aid skills would be advantageous.
  • Prior experience as a store keeper would be advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
