Job Descriptions:

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead our operations and drive the strategic vision of RMS. The General Manager will play a crucial role in managing the company's growth, ensuring the highest quality of service delivery, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Given the startup nature of RMS, the General Manager will need to be adaptable, hands-on, and capable of driving initiatives in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve the company’s mission and vision, focusing on digital transformation and technological advancement in Afghanistan.
  • Drive the overall strategic planning process, ensuring alignment with company goals and market opportunities.
  • Lead the company through various stages of growth, scaling operations, and expanding service offerings.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient and effective processes across all departments.
  • Implement operational best practices to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Team Development:

  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of experts, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets to drive growth and expand RMS’s service offerings.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry leaders.
  • Oversee the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies.

Client Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long-term collaboration.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing their needs and ensuring they receive exceptional service.
  • Gather and analyze client feedback to improve service offerings.

Financial Oversight:

  • Manage budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organization.
  • Monitor financial performance, preparing regular reports for the leadership team and stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial efficiency and reduce costs.

Quality Assurance:

  • Maintain the highest standards of quality in service delivery, aligning with the latest trends and best practices in the digital and technological fields.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes to monitor and improve service outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Innovation:

  • Drive the development and implementation of innovative solutions that address the specific challenges and opportunities within the Afghan market.
  • Foster a culture of creativity and innovation within the team.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure RMS remains at the forefront of digital transformation.

Community Engagement:

  • Represent RMS in industry forums, conferences, and community events to enhance the company’s visibility and influence.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local and international stakeholders to promote the company’s mission and objectives.
  • Advocate for digital transformation and technological advancement in Afghanistan.

Adaptability and Problem-Solving:

  • Navigate the challenges and uncertainties of a startup environment, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
  • Quickly adapt to changing market conditions and client needs.
  • Proactively identify and address potential risks and obstacles.

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Sciences or IT (or Bachelor's degree with three additional years of experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, preferably within ICT sector.
  • Proven track record of leading successful training, youth development, or MSMEs development initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of emerging pathways and their applications in business.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Financial acumen and experience in budget management and financial planning.
