About MCC-JCL Aynak Minerals Company Limited

MCC-JCL Aynak Minerals Company Limited (“the Company”) has been incorporated in Afghanistan as a limited liability company on 09 September 2008  under the Corporation and Limited Liability Companies Law of Afghanistan. The registered office of the company is situated in Kabul, Afghanistan.The company was established by MCC Tongsin Resource Limited (“MCCT”) and Jiangxi Copper Company Limited (“JCL”) for the implementation of the Mining Contract for the Aynak Copper Deposit signed between the Government of Afghanistan and MCC-Jiangxi Copper Consortium (“the Consortium”) on 25 May 2008 (effective date 08 September 2008). The Consortium comprises of China Metallurgical Group Corporation (“MCC”) (parent entity of MCCT), and JCL. Under the Mining Contract, the Consortium was granted mineral rights for a period of 30 years to undertake exploration, exploitation, processing, smelting and sale of the Aynak Copper Deposit.

Job Description

1. Basic Knowledge of Surveying: Learn about the conversion and understanding of geographic coordinate systems (longitude, latitude) and elevation coordinate systems in the application of surveying. Understand triangulation, triangulation-based elevation measurement, distance measurement, and angle measurement.
2. Underground Tunnel Surveying: Learn about the layout and surveying of underground control lines; establish an underground elevation control system, and determine the elevation of underground control points.
3. Calibration of Tunnel Centerline and Waistline: Learn to calibrate the position of the opening point and specify the tunneling direction, extend and check the centerline, and calibrate the centerline of curved tunnels.
4. Tunnel Connection Surveying: Understand the potential sources of error in tunnel connection surveying and ensure measurement accuracy.
5. Three-Dimensional Spatial Measurement: Understand project preparation, field data collection, and related procedures.
6. Surveying Instrument Operation: Learn to operate leveling instruments, total stations, GPS, and RTK systems.
