New way Social & Development Organization is a development, advocacy, and humanitarian organization established in 2011 and registered with the Ministry of Economy, Government of Afghanistan. Organization is based in Kabul, with programming hubs across the north and northeastern provinces of the country. Organization strives to empower the vulnerable and marginalized communities suffering from the impacts of war, natural calamities, poverty, and injustice. Additionally, Organization is also working on the idea of integrated development, which encompasses socio-economic, cultural and good governance. Community Empowerment is the core to Organization’s strategy to engage with grass-root groups and communities to address the root causes of poverty, inequalities and injustice.

Job Descriptions:

  1. Human Resource Management:
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with local laws and organizational standards.
  • Manage day-to-day HR functions, including compensation and benefits, recruitment, selection, and retention.
  • Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of staff.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, organizational policies, and best practices in all HR activities.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
  • Coordinate and conduct training programs to enhance the skills and capacities of staff members.
  • Maintain and update accurate HR records and databases, including personnel files and attendance records.
  • Provide support to employees in interpreting HR policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure proper orientation and guidance are provided to newly hired staff.
  • Administer payroll procedures and submit for approval.
  • Participate in staff performance appraisals at headquarters and provincial levels.
  • Monitor current HR processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

 

  1. Administrative Support:
  • Provide administrative support to the country office, including managing office supplies, equipment, and facilities.
  • Coordinate with logistics responsible for meetings, workshops, and events, including venue booking, catering, and transportation.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring for administrative expenses.
  • Manage travel arrangements and accommodation for staff and visitors.
  • Support the implementation of security protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of staff and assets.
  • Handle correspondence, phone calls, and other communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and arrange HR-related correspondence.
  1. Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with donor requirements, organizational policies, and local regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external reports related to HR and administrative activities.
  • Participate in audits and assessments to ensure adherence to standards and guidelines.
  1. Capacity Building and Team Development:
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and professional development.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff members on HR-related matters.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and identify areas for staff development and training.
  • Participate in investigations related to employee complaints or concerns, ensuring a fair and thorough process.
  1. Additional Responsibilities:
  • Support the office in audit, financial risk management, and fraud prevention issues.
  • Undertake other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in related filled with Master degree and 5 years of work experience with bachelor degree with national or international NGOs.
  • Proven experience in HR management and administrative functions.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in HR information systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
