Afghani Community and Health Rehabilitation Organization (ACHRO) is a non-political, non for profit, non- governmental organization registered with the Ministry of Economy of GIRoA on April, 08, 2010 under registration # 1658. ACHRO has also been registered or recognized as partner with more than 40 national and International organizations. ACHRO is active Partner of (UNHCR) and (WHH). ACHRO has established and maintains network with civil society, community-based social institutions, and government line ministries in Afghanistan. ACHRO’s core sectors of activities include health, emergency/relief, capacity building, women empowerment, and livelihood and development sectors. ACHRO is currently implementing UN- WOMEN and UNHCR-funded project in the South-East, south, North and central regions of the country
Job Description
Job Summary:
Attend all meetings of the District Committee Attend all Area Service Committee meetings, Area Assemblies. Participate as a member of the District Steering Committee, the Area Service Committee, and the Assembly. Act as a service sponsor for replacement to ensure an orderly transfer of responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the implementation of project activities in target district in collaboration with the Project Manager,
- Coordinate the project activities with PPHD, communities and related stakeholders at district level,
- Conduct regular monitoring of project activities and provide any required support,
- Keep control of the project activities at the district level.
- Foresee the safety of work for project implementation in target area.
- Prepare community wide work calendar and specify resources required to undertake the plan.
- Ensure that the project plan is shared with the communities, relevant provincial directorate(s).
- Explain project objectives to the stakeholders, communities and ensure project ownership by the participating communities by convincing them about the goals and objectives of the projects.
- Ensure that the community is undertaking the work and are involved in monitoring.
- Make sure that the project is being implemented according to the work plan.
- Perform any other tasks assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor in business administration, project management or any other related field.
- At least 4 years of relevant work experience in a similar managerial position
- Previous working experience with local and international NGOs.
- Strong Communication Skills
