Job Descriptions:

Sayas Group of Companies is seeking a dedicated Scanner Technical Manager to lead the installation project of scanning equipment at customs ports, a government-granted initiative. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of the project, ensuring the efficient installation and operation of scanning equipment in compliance with government regulations and security standards.

These key responsibilities encompass the critical tasks and duties that the Scanner Technical Manager will undertake in overseeing the installation of scanning equipment at customs ports as part of the government-granted project to Sayas Group of Companies. By effectively planning, procuring, installing, providing support, ensuring compliance and security, maintaining quality assurance, conducting training, documenting activities, managing risks, and engaging stakeholders, the Scanner Technical Manager plays a pivotal role in the successful implementation of this significant project.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a detailed project plan for the installation of scanning equipment at customs ports, outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate with government authorities, internal teams, and external contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Identify suitable scanning equipment for customs port installations, considering factors such as throughput capacity, security features, and compliance with government regulations.
  • Manage the procurement process and oversee the installation of equipment at designated customs ports.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the installation team to ensure proper setup and configuration of scanning equipment.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions to maintain optimal performance.
  • Ensure that scanning operations at customs ports comply with government regulations and security protocols.
  • Implement measures to protect sensitive information and maintain data integrity throughout the scanning process.
  • Establish quality control procedures to verify the accuracy and reliability of scanning operations at customs ports.
  • Conduct regular testing and calibration of equipment to uphold high standards of performance.
  • Conduct training sessions for customs port staff on operating the scanning equipment and adhering to best practices.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure that staff members are proficient in using the equipment effectively.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of equipment specifications, installation processes, and testing results.
  • Generate progress reports and updates for government stakeholders to communicate project status and outcomes.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the project and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
  • Proactively monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to mitigate risks and ensure successful implementation.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with government officials, customs authorities, and other key stakeholders involved in the project.
  • Communicate regularly to provide updates, address concerns, and solicit feedback to ensure project alignment with stakeholder expectations.

 

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • A Master degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant certification in scanning technologies.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting scanning equipment, understanding scanning technologies.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and data security protocols relevant to scanning operations.
  • Expertise in quality control procedures, testing methodologies, and calibration techniques for scanning equipment.

Experience:

  • 5 Years previous experience in a technical role related to scanning equipment installation, maintenance, or operation is typically required.
  • Experience in managing scanning projects, overseeing technical teams, and coordinating with stakeholders is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards for scanning operations, especially in sensitive environments such as customs ports.

Leadership and Communication:

  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team of technicals, provide guidance and support, and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams, external partners, government authorities, and other stakeholders involved in the scanning project.
