About the Role

Position Summary:      
Gloria Consulting is seeking qualified Trainer and Mentor to deliver capacity-building sessions and provide mentorship to Afghan youth who are developing digital startups. They will lead structured training sessions over two days and will provide continued guidance for five days to support participants in implementing the skills gained.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Training:
    • Conduct interactive training sessions covering the following key areas:
      • Business Management: Fundamentals of managing a startup, leadership skills, and decision-making.
      • Business Life Cycle: Understanding the stages of business growth, from startup to maturity.
      • Marketing: Building effective marketing strategies and brand identity.
      • Prototyping and Testing: Practical steps for product development and refinement.
      • SWOT and PESTEL Analysis: Analyzing market conditions and competitive positioning.
      • Financial Management: Budgeting, fundraising, and financial planning for startups.
      • Business Plan Writing: Developing a structured business plan for growth and scaling.
    • Use real-world examples and case studies to make the sessions engaging and relevant.
    • Provide training materials in Dari and Pashto, ensuring accessibility for all participants.

 

  1. Mentoring:
    • Offer personalized guidance to startups, helping them apply training content to their specific challenges.
    • Work closely with participants over five days to ensure the successful application of business strategies.
    • Support participants in refining their business plans, conducting SWOT and PESTEL analyses, and developing prototypes.
    • Facilitate a collaborative environment, encouraging participants to share insights and learn from each other.
    • Help the contestants develop their pitching presentations and business plans

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, consulting, or digital marketing.
  • Proven experience in training, mentoring, or consulting with startups or youth-led businesses.
  • Strong knowledge in the listed capacity-building content areas, including business management, marketing, and financial planning.
  • Fluency in Dari and Pashto is required; English proficiency is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and guide youth.
  • Familiarity with Afghanistan’s startup ecosystem is an asset.
