Job Descriptions:

The Trade Afghan Business Network Coordinator will work closely with customers, TABN members, vendors, and service providers, both online and in-person. This role will be guided by the Trade Afghan Program Director and Executive Director and requires onsite presence at PARSA, along with the ability to travel to visit customers, vendors, businesses, and production facilities, as well as attend local and provincial exhibitions. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, TABN members, and service providers via phone, email, and in person.
  • Accept and fulfill customer orders.
  • Collaborate with PARSA staff for internal product and order fulfillment.
  • Interface with external vendors to ensure product and order fulfillment.
  • Coordinate with the TA Finance and Inventory Associate.
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping and provide weekly reports.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and implement TA Bazaar and related events.
  • Attend exhibitions and visit businesses and production sites to scout new products.
  • Serve as a liaison between the TA Director and vendors for product production.
  • Train vendors in quality standards for TA products.
  • Research and develop market access opportunities for TA/TABN businesses and members.
  • Build and maintain relationships with service providers and relevant entities, including:
    • Exhibit Department of MoIC
    • Chamber(s) of Commerce
    • Private Sector Businesses
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by the line manager.

Job Requirements:

Candidates must meet the following qualifications to be considered for testing and interviews:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; additional documented skills and work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 4-6 years of progressively responsible experience directly related to the specified duties.
  • Business or entrepreneurial experience is highly valued.
  • High proficiency in computer and research skills.
  • Excellent English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.
