YHDO is a non-governmental and non-for-profit organization established in 2009, registered with ministry of economy in Afghanistan. YHDO works with interdisciplinary professionals to develop and implement innovative, culturally appropriate, evidence based interventions

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform assigned duties during official hours in the target area (outreach) in accordance with YHDO policies.
2. Prepare a work plan based on the job description.
3. Collect data and information on patients in the area and those admitted to the Drug Treatment Center.
4. Record patients' vital signs in their respective files and the special register book.
5. Administer injections and distribute medications to patients during treatment per the doctor’s instructions.
6. Provide overnight shifts within the treatment center as coordinated with the YHDO OR team MD and Project Manager.
7. Carefully administer prescribed medications to patients under the outreach areas care.
8. Actively participate in professional training and skill-building workshops.
9. Conduct life skills training sessions for patients during treatment and visits to the area.
10. Enhance professional knowledge, especially regarding health guidelines and medical practices.
11. Participate in daily team meetings and field reporting.
12. Monitor and ensure the well-being of patients in the target area.
13. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and submit them to supervisors.
14. Immediately report any challenges impacting project activities to the outreach team leader and project manager.
15. Adhere to YHDO’s rules, regulations, and procedures within the relevant department.
16. Perform any additional tasks as directed by the outreach team leader and project manager.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

1. Certified Nurse with a nursing diploma approved by the Ministry of Public Health.
2. Work experience and knowledge in primary healthcare and drug demand reduction.
3. One year of work experience in nursing.
4. Proficiency in Dari, Pashto, and English, and familiarity with computer programs.
5. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
6. Ability to take initiative, manage multiple responsibilities, and achieve set goals.
