About AYSO:

Afghan Youth Services Organization (AYSO) is a National Afghan NGO registered in 2006 with the MoEc of Afghanistan with registration No:397.AYSO since came into being has developed, successfully implemented, and provided direct assistance services in different   sectors such as health, educational, Food Security,  Capacity building, GBV Prevention and Response, Peace, Justice Research, and Surveys human rights and awareness projects and programs with the technical and financial support of several UN Agencies such as UNDP,UNFPA, UNICEF, WFP, and WHO, AYSO has implemented projects with government ministries and departments as well as has been being implementing partner with AAH/USAID, FHI, BARC, AADA,HEWAD, and other National and International Organization

Job Descriptions:

Develop, implement, and evaluate programs and services that meet the needs of young people,

including, Multipurpose youth centers, Youth Friendly Programming, business Development

Services, mentorship programs, and community events.

Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners to design and deliver programs that

promote youth development, education, and wellbeing.

Ensure programs are evidence based, culturally sensitive, and responsive to the needs of diverse

youth populations.

Staff Management:

Supervise and manage a team of youth workers, including program coordinators, youth officers,

and volunteers.

Provide coaching, training, and support to staff to ensure they have the skills and resources

needed to deliver high quality programs.

Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes collaboration, innovation, and

continuous learning.

Partnerships and Community Engagement:

Build and maintain relationships with community partners, including, community organizations,

and government agencies.

Develop and implement strategies to engage young people, families, and community members in

programs and services.

Collaborate with partners to secure resources, funding, and support for youth programs and

services.

Evaluation and Quality Improvement:

Develop and implement evaluation plans to assess program effectiveness and quality.

Analyze data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to programs

and services.

Ensure programs are aligned with organizational goals and meet the needs of young people.

Budgeting and Resource Management:

Manage program budgets and resources, including grants, funding proposals, and financial

reporting.

Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support youth programs and services.

Other Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of young people

participating in programs.

Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Represent the organization in community forums, meetings, and events.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor degree in a related field, such as youth development, education, social work, or non-

profit management.

 At least 3 years of experience in a youth development or related field, with a minimum of 3 years

in a management or leadership role.

 Proven experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation.

 Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate staff.

 Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.

 Ability to work with diverse youth populations, including those from low-income backgrounds,

with disabilities, and from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make

informed decisions.

 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility and adaptability.

Preferred Qualifications:

 Master degree in a related field.

 Experience with report writing, grant writing, fundraising, and budget management.

 Certification in youth development, such as the Certified Youth Development Professional

 Bilingual or multilingual skills.
