INTRODUCTION:

Care of Afghan Families (CAF) implementing the Basic Package of Health Services (EPHS/BPHS) from Jan-2014 till date under Sehatmandi / HER projects in Logar province.

Care of Afghan Families (CAF) is a non-governmental, non-political, not for profit, and independent Afghan organization. The organization was established on January-2003 in Kabul and is registered with Ministry of Economy. CAF is mainly involved in the field of health, education research, & community development. • I-GENERAL Responsibilities:

  The overall scope of work for ENT Specialist is providing ENT specialization services in Logar Naib Aminullah Khan Provincial Hospital in line with the Sehatmandi project & EPHS/MoPH standards and procedures.                                                                              II-SPECIFIC DUTIES: 
• Implementation and follow-up the CAF, EPHS & MoPH policies and procedures.
• Do OPD consultations for patients according to MoPH, CAF guideline, standard protocols MoPH EPHS policies, and CAF given Job Description.
• ENT specialist is responsible for focusing on the ears treat hearing disorders, infections, balance disorders, nerve pain, ear noise (tinnitus), and cranial nerve disorders. 
• ENT specialists of the nose deal with patients suffering from chronic sinusitis.
• Treat diseases of the larynx, esophagus, and upper aero-digestive tract, including swallowing and voice disorders.
•  ENT specialists treating problems in the head and neck regions deal with tumours, infectious diseases, deformities, and facial trauma.
• Take accurate history, perform examinations and diagnosis and ensure the procedures according to the motioned policies, standard protocols and guidelines through the entire ward.
• Prescribe appropriate treatments according to MoPH guidelines and medical text books and provide health education targeted on the patient’s diseases accordingly to above mentioned rules.
• Active participation in the morning report, Internal seminars & Night duties
• Provision of monthly HMIS report
• Prepare monthly action plane and daily work schedule and performs related clerical duties.
• Ability to follow established departmental procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently and cope with emergency situations.
• Observes all safety policies and protocols for patient protection.
• Using PPE kit while examining COVID-19 patients.
• Perform other tasks as per his monthly action plan, job description and direction of his/her line manager.
