Job Descriptions:

Objectives

The primary objective of this assignment is to engage a skilled Proposal Writer to develop high-quality project proposals that align with the organization's strategic goals and secure funding from various donors.

III.      Scope of Work

The Proposal Writer will be responsible for:

  • Researching potential funding opportunities and understanding donor requirements.
  • Writing and developing comprehensive project proposals, including but not limited to food security, agriculture, humanitarian aid, education, and cash distribution projects.
  • Working with RFPs, RFQs, ITBs, Synopses, Can Produces Presentations.
  • Collaborating with program staff to gather necessary information and data.
  • Creating budgets, logframes, and other necessary documentation.
  • Ensuring that all proposals are compliant with donor guidelines and submission requirements.
  • Reviewing and editing proposals to ensure clarity, coherence, and professionalism.
  • Assisting in the submission process and following up on the status of proposals.
  • Maintaining a database of all proposals and related documents.

III.      Deliverables

  • Detailed project proposals for specific funding opportunities.
  • Budgets and logframes associated with each proposal.
  • Reports on the status of proposals and feedback from donors.
  • A comprehensive database of proposals and supporting documents.

Job Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, International Development, or a related field.

Experience:

5+ years of proven relevant experience.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in proposal writing, preferably in the NGO sector.
  • Having capability of writing proposals for UN agencies, USAID, Us embassy, international donors, and international NGOS.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong understanding of donor requirements and funding processes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Language:

  • Dari, Pashtoo and English is a must.
