SME Client Support Afghanistan LLC (“SCSA”) is a consulting and service company registered with the Ministry of Commerce and Industries with its headquarter in Kabul. SCSA is fully owned by ACGF - Afghan Credit Guarantee Foundation (“ACGF”), a foundation with legal incorporation in Germany. ACGF is a credit guarantee fund with the mission to improve access to finance for Afghanistan’s micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (“MSMEs”) by sharing the credit risk of the Afghan partner financial institutions (“PIs”) and by improving their MSME lending capacity with technical assistance (“TA”). Governed by a service contract concluded between ACGF and SCSA, SCSA provides a broad range of ancillary services in the context of ACGF’s credit guarantee technical assistance operations, and program execution.

SCSA is a consulting company, not a financial institution, and it does not provide any financial services. SCSA does not have contractual relationships with the Afghan PIs; it acts as service provider to ACGF carrying out a range of various services, e.g. conducting market research on MSME finance, conducting training needs assessment, providing ongoing technical assistance to PIs (e.g. training-on-the-job and coaching of MSME credit staff), providing support services for the credit guarantee appraisal and guarantee claim appraisal, carrying out monitoring support for the guarantee portfolio and the compliance of PIs as well as collecting various types of information for ACGF (market-, portfolio-, risk-relevant information).

The Security Guard (Night Shift) ensures the safety and security of SCSA and ACGF’s premises, employees and assets during the day/ night and all other unofficial hours. The role involves monitoring access, conducting regular patrols and responding to security incidents at any time outside regular working hours.

Duties & Responsibilities

The scope of work of the Security Guards covers the following specific areas:

• Monitor and control access points to ensure authorized entry only and oversee CCTV at all times.
• Conduct regular checks of SCSA and ACGF premises, including offices equipment, company vehicles and other assets to ensure security.
• Respond promptly to any security incidents or emergencies during official/ unofficial hours and coordinate with local authorities if necessary.
• Monitor staff departure from the office at the end of official working hours and ensure the premises remain secure.
• Turn off all unnecessary electronic devices, equipment and machines after office hours to conserve energy and reduce risks.
• Provide security support to all SCSA and ACGF staff when required including escorting visitors to staff members as per approval or necessity.
• Ensure the safety and security of SCSA and ACGF employees, visitors and premises during all on/ off-hours including handling any requests for assistance.
• Safeguard and maintain company keys, office equipment and other valuables.
• Ensure that all offices and common areas are properly secured after office hours, locking doors and monitoring for any unauthorized activity.
• Open doors in the morning when official working hours begin, ensuring that staff can access the premises safely and on-time.
• Maintain detailed logs of all security activities, incidents and daily checks during non-office hours.
• Be proactive in identifying potential security risks and addressing them before they escalate.
• Collaborate with management and other staff to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the office outside official working hours.

• Ability to read and write in local languages
• Basic understanding of security protocols and procedures
• Previous security experience preferred
• Security certifications (e.g., first aid, basic security training) are a plus
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail
• Good physical condition for patrols and checks
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle incidents effectively
• Trustworthy and responsible
• Ability to work independently and in shifts, including nights and weekends
• Familiarity with CCTV and security equipment is a plus
