About New Way Social and Development Organization (NSDO):

NSDO is a development, advocacy, and humanitarian organization established in 2011 and registered with the Ministry of Economy, Government of Afghanistan. NSDO is based in Kabul, with programming hubs across the north and northeastern provinces of the country. NSDO strives to empower the vulnerable and marginalized communities suffering from the impacts of war, natural calamities, poverty, and injustice. Additionally, NSDO is also working on the idea of integrated development, which encompasses socio-economic, cultural and good governance. Community Empowerment is the core to NSDO’s strategy to engage with grass-root groups and communities to address the root causes of poverty, inequalities and injustice.

Job Descriptions:

  • Community Engagement: Actively engage with the community to disseminate BSFP-related messages.
  • Information Dissemination: Provide vital information on the benefits and usage of WSB and Plumpy Doz to PLW and CU5.
  • Beneficiary Support: Assist beneficiaries in understanding the importance of nutritional support during the winter season.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the distribution of BSFP supplies and report any issues or feedback from beneficiaries.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of the BSFP program.
  • Training and Education: Conduct training sessions for beneficiaries on the proper use of WSB and Plumpy Doz.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum high school diploma; additional qualifications in nutrition, public health, or related fields are preferred.
  • At least 2 -3 years of experience in community outreach or health education is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in local languages.
  •  Empathetic, approachable, and culturally sensitive.
