About Afghanistan Social and Legal Organization (ASLO):

Afghanistan Social and Legal Organization (ASLO) is registered with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan. The organization was informally established in 2012 and officially registered with the Ministry of Economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in 2013. ASLO was awarded registration number 2852 by the NGOs Department of the Ministry of Economy, Kabul, Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:

Scope of Work:
Under the direct supervision of the ASLO Education senior officer/program manager, they will be responsible for all data entry and its quality/accuracy assurance related to the CBE project. Apart from that, the EMIS officer will be responsible for supporting provincial departments in software-related issues.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • The following are the main responsibilities of the EMIS/Data Entry Officer:
  • Support and participate in information exchange and coordination mechanisms with partners and relevant information systems/units.
  • Technical coordination and support of EMIS activities of the CBE project and overall ASLO activities.
  • Advise and support technical experts on issues related to the use of EMIS systems and digital data collection to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Preparation and dissemination of technical reports.
  • Building capacity of community mobilizers and related staff members on the usage of related data collection and reporting tools.
  • Assist the ASLO with the development of report formats and report indicators to enable reporting (hard- and soft-copies) at all levels for the different types of projects.
  • Provide technical support and oversee the collection, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of ASLO and CBE projects-related information from routine surveys, surveillance, and diverse contextual information sources.
  • The collection, compilation, and analysis of EMIS reports related to the CBE project and other ASLO-related activities in the province.
  • Strong follow-up with related departments for on-time data entry and sharing with the main office.
  • Collect and compile reports as provided by office and field staff.
  • Data quality assurance checks on a routine basis to check that the data is accurate and as per the project standards and norms.
  • Developing well-organized file management procedures and mechanisms.
  • Any other task assigned by the supervisor

Job Requirements:

Job requirements

  • BS in Computer Science, data management, or a related field. Certification in statistical software use will be an added advantage. 
  • Having at least three years’ experience in a related job or area.
  • Excellent reading, writing, and verbal skills in Pashto, Dari, and English.
