Job Purpose:

The Guard works in the health centers or office to minimize sensitivity, to take care of staff security inside the health centers or office.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Respect working hours.
• Keep the security inside the health center and office.
• Facilitating the function of the activities inside the health centers/ office makes the ambience quiet.
• Ensure the security of all staff and items inside the health center.
• Take care of the IMC assets inside the office/ clinic such as generator, water supplies, destruction of non-reusable materials and etc.
• Guard has to report any incident to her direct supervisor, field security staff and or Country security in charge 24/7.
• Take care of all visitors and guests inside the health center with security policy (Registration, Visitor ID card, searching and etc.).
• Arrange the visitors.
• Patrolling of the compound during the day.
• Take care of the main gate especially during the staff/visitor’s movement’s time.
• Good communication with all staff/visitors.

Things to avoid.

• No CD or video playing at inside the health center or compound
• No loud or rude noise inside the health center or compound
• Do not invite friends/ relatives to the office, especially out of office hours.
• Ability to cope with stressful situations and work with limited resources.

• Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.

Compliance & Ethics:

• Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance and ethics throughout the International Medical Corps. As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards. Conducts work with the highest level of integrity.

 Safeguarding:

• It is all staff’s shared responsibility and obligation to safeguard and protect populations with whom we work, including adults who may be particularly vulnerable and children. This includes safeguarding from the following conduct by our staff or partners: sexual exploitation and abuse; exploitation, neglect, or abuse of children and adults at risk; and any form of trafficking in persons.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and write.
• The reading and writing will be tested
• during the interview.

Experience:

• Preference will be given to candidates with more experience in NGOs/ INGOs or private sectors.
• Be an honest person.
• Be able to solve small local problems.
• Maintain good relations with the local people.
• Be able to work on any part of the project.
• Be familiar with the environment and geography.
• Locals of duty station will be given preference.

Competency:

• Able to communicate and writing in Dari/Pashto languages.
