BRAC is a nongovernmental development organization originated in Bangladesh and currently working in 10 countries in Asia and Africa. BRAC began its operation in Afghanistan in 2002, has been implementing its development programs in education, health, citizens’ charter Afghanistan programme as well as capacity development in the country.

Regularly patrol assigned areas to ensure the security and safety of premises, property, and individuals.
Use surveillance equipment, such as cameras and monitors, to keep a watchful eye on premises and detect any suspicious activity.
Control access to restricted areas by checking identification, verifying credentials, and ensuring only authorized personnel enter.
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, such as disturbances, thefts, or medical emergencies, and take appropriate action to mitigate risks and maintain order.
Enforce security policies, rules, and regulations established by the organization or property management to maintain a safe and secure environment.
Identify potential security risks or vulnerabilities and take proactive measures to prevent security breaches or threats.
Participate in emergency drills and training exercises to ensure readiness to respond effectively to various emergencies or crisis situations.
Register visitors during office and authorized non-office hours.
Verify and monitor visitors and clients entering the office, and guide them to the relevant departments.
Inspect visitors and office vehicles entering the premises.
Provide regular reports to the line supervisor during day and night shifts.

Observation Skills: Ability to keenly observe surroundings, identify potential security threats, and detect suspicious behavior or activities.
Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with individuals, report incidents accurately, and convey information clearly and concisely.
Critical Thinking: Capacity to assess situations quickly, analyze information, and make sound decisions under pressure or in emergency situations.
Physical Fitness: Good physical condition to perform patrol duties, respond to emergencies, and handle physically demanding tasks if necessary.
Conflict Resolution: Skill in de-escalating conflicts, diffusing tense situations, and maintaining composure while dealing with confrontational individuals.
Attention to Detail: Ability to pay close attention to details, follow procedures accurately, and adhere to security protocols to ensure thoroughness and effectiveness in security measures.
Integrity and Trustworthiness: High ethical standards, honesty, and reliability to maintain confidentiality, uphold security standards, and foster trust among colleagues and stakeholders.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to changing environments, work schedules, or unexpected situations while maintaining a vigilant and proactive approach to security.
Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with other security personnel, law enforcement agencies, or emergency responders to coordinate responses and ensure the safety and security of the premises.
