Community Mobilizer

Organization for Research & Community Development (ORCD) is a Non-governmental, Non-political, Non-profitable and independent organization founded in 2011 by a group of community development and research specialist. The aim of the organization is to contribute to the development of Afghanistan as an integral part of the international community. It envisages accomplishing its aims by building local capacities, generating evidence in various disciplines, promoting evidence-based on best practices and implementing development projects aimed at community development at the grass root level. ORCD is a multi-donor funded NGO, implementing health, agriculture and community development projects in several provinces of the country.

• Community encouragement, providing supplementary information about project to the community, mobilizing the community to clarify project goals for the people.
• Gathering of information from the community.
• Delivering health messages to the people about healthcare services.
• Establishing comprehensive coordination with healthcare personnel in the community to refer patients.
• Encouraging the community to refer patients to mobile health centers for accessing healthcare services.
• Establishing close coordination with the community.
• For selecting locations for the mobile health team and connexs, establishing and maintaining close coordination with the community, and preparing the places.
• Evaluating individuals affected in the field and entering that information into the KOBO system.
• In case of natural disasters and outbreaks, comprehensive collaboration with the mobile health team and NGO.
• Collaboration with healthcare staff in organizing patient line.
• Establishing a local health council and holding meetings with them.
• Any other task assigned by team leader.
• Act according to the ORCD policies.

• Holding at minimum bachelor’s degree which must be certified by ministry of higher education, and social science graduated will prefer.
• Having at least 2  years of relevant work experience related to the position.
• Familiarity with the local community and having detailed knowledge about it.
• Having strong skills in communication, verbal and written communication and report writing.
• Being patient, maintaining a positive attitude and having the ability to work in crisis situations
