Mughal Brother’s Construction Company (MBRCC) is a private company that is established in 2011, supports and successfully completed numerous power distribution (6KV and 20KV) and transmission line (220KV and 500KV) projects in Afghanistan. Currently there are two major running power projects with MBRCC; (1) construction portion of CASA1000 Lot3, and (2) Dasht-e-Alwan to Arghandi 500 KV Transmission Lines.

Job Summary

The Office Engineer  will work under direct supervision of the Project Point of Contact. The Office Engineer will work in potentially technical side and provide end-to-end engineering infrastructure solutions to the power transmission line projects of MBRCC in Afghanistan.

Initial assignments from the tasks below will require direction and supervision; with experience the independence and responsibility will expand and the need for supervision will decrease. Job duties will include but are not limited to:

Duties and Responsibilities

• Technical knowledge of power transmission line drawings; Foundation Drawing, Tower Erection Drawing and Stringing Drawings.
• Develop and implement calibration programs for transmission equipment.
• Coordination with site team to ensure compliance with approved drawings.
• Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to ensure project successful implementation.
• Provide required documents to other departments as needed.
• Keep track of drawings and their revisions on regular basis.
• Stay up-to-date with the company standards and emerging technologies in the electrical field.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all transmission projects.
• Initiate, prepare, review, track, post and distribute RFI’s and change orders.
• Receive, prepare, review, process, forward and track status of MBRCC submittals.
• Maintain all MBRCC compliant record keeping and process material’s acceptance letters.
• Maintain organized and detailed construction files, project records and logs.
• Oversee and review daily field inspector and work progress reports.
• Track, document and manage project issues and conditions.
• Assist Project Manager and the team with payment requisition review and process.
• Review, analyze and make recommendations for contractor invoices.
• Technical review of MBRCC construction invoices.
• Establish and maintain shop drawings, working drawings and submittals.
• Prepare final documents to ensure project documentation is processed in timely manner and retrievably.
• Drawings printout, filing and binding.
• Any other task or assignment by Project Manager.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or any other engineering field
• Proficiency in engineering software for design and analysis
• Knowledge of high-voltage transmission systems and equipment
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Excellent computer system skills required for cost and schedule reporting (Primavera P6, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong teamwork, time management and analytical skills.
