Position Summary:

The IT Officer is responsible for the effective operation, maintenance, and support of all IT systems, networks, and services at Rana University. This includes troubleshooting hardware/software issues, managing servers and networks, supporting users, and ensuring the security and smooth running of the university's IT infrastructure.

Job Description:

• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, printers, and other IT equipment.

• Monitor and maintain university network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, internet, Wi-Fi, etc.).

• Provide timely technical support and training to faculty, staff, and students.

• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues and ensure minimal downtime.

• Maintain and update the inventory of IT assets and equipment.

• Manage user accounts, emails, and system access rights.

• Ensure data security, backup, and recovery procedures are in place and effective.

• Coordinate with vendors for procurement, installation, and maintenance of IT equipment.

• Assist in website updates and Learning Management System (LMS) support.

• Monitor IT policies and ensure compliance with university standards.

• Generate reports and documentation for IT usage, incidents, and maintenance schedules.

1. Education: At least a Bachelor degree with specialization in the field of IT from a recognized university/institute;

2.   Attested, original qualification degree documents are required;
3.   Experience: 3 - 5 years’ experience in the mentioned field;
4.   Language Skills: Fluent oral, written, and comprehensive skills in English, Dari & Pashto;
5.   Personal qualification: Must be hard worker and honest having strong teaching skill & knowledge.
