Salma Consulting is a research, monitoring, and evaluation firm based in Afghanistan with national and international teams. The team at Salma brings 15+ years of on-the-ground monitoring, evaluation, and research experience in data collection, analysis, M&E, third-party monitoring, and quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods research studies across all 34 provinces of the country. Salma Consulting specializes in conducting MERL studies and engaging with highly marginalized and vulnerable populations and works consistently across various sectors. These include gender and women studies, education, civil society, child protection, migration/displacement, WASH, public health, livelihoods, and emergency response - such as in-cash and in-kind distribution. Job Description (Purpose);

Salma Rasheed Management Consulting Services is looking for a Field Surveys to organize the day-to-day collecting documents procedures. Field Surveys responsibilities include maintaining records for all transactions, preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports and processing reimbursements. Field Surveys will be reportable to Field Surveys.

Qualifications:

The following are required qualifications:

• Previous experience with mobile data collection (KOBO, Survey CTO etc.) a plus point.
• Experience conducting good quality focus group discussions.
• Ability and willingness to travel to districts
• Fluency in oral and written Dari or Pashto (the common language of the selected province)
• High school education is must
• Experience conducting surveys or another research in the field
• Experience writing brief reports or taking notes
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Honesty and integrity
• Surveyors must be from the selected province
• Priority will be given to couples

English language, computer skills are NOT required, although they would strengthen a candidate’s profile.

• Attend and actively participate in trainings to cover and understand all survey and monitoring procedures
• To conduct quantitative survey
• To be able to take notes from their Observation.
• Able to find appropriate people for FGD and Key Inform Interviews.
• Able to conduct Focus Group Discussion and Key Inform Interviews.
• Remain in daily conduct with the Salma Project Manager.
• Take notes and fill forms to document findings
