Job Requirements:

Job Requirements

  • Minimum five years of relevant experience in legal advisory services, 
  • Working knowledge of English and fluency in local languages (Dari and Pashto)
  • Working knowledge of MS. Office (MS. Word, MS. Excel, and MS. PowerPoint)
  • Positive and professional attitude, including ability to lead and work well in a team setting
  • Ability to discuss sensitive issues with respect, empathy, and professionalism
  • Knowledge and experience with community outreach and mobilization
  • Familiarity with principles of monitoring and evaluation; experience in writing brief narrative reports and data reporting
  • Able to travel and have experience with remote management
  • Planning, and prioritizing skills
  • Strong Interpersonal & communication skills

Academic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or Sharia Law/Islamic Studies/ Conflict Resolution
  • Knowledge of conducting community sensitization workshops on positive traditional justice practices.
  • Knowledge of DFA, rules and regulations, particularly on HLP- related issues and positive traditional justice practices.

Professional experience:

  • A minimum of four years of project management experience in legal aid, protection of returnees and IDPs, Housing Land and Property (HLP) issues and social protection in Afghanistan.
  • Familiarity with the local socio-political context of the project focus areas and the post-conflict/crisis environment in Afghanistan.
  • Experience in implementing projects funded by UNDP or other UN agencies.
  • Working knowledge of MS. Office (MS. Word, MS. Excel, and MS. PowerPoint)
  • Positive and professional attitude, including ability to lead and work well in a team setting
  • Ability to discuss sensitive issues with respect, empathy, and professionalism
  • Knowledge and experience with community outreach and mobilization
