Afghan Bureau Collaboration Office (ABCO) is a national Afghan NGO established in 1993. ABCO is operating in all regions of Afghanistan with a mission of national Food Security and Livelihood Resilience Building. For the last 27 years ABCO has been committed to its mission and has performed plenty of programs and projects with UN and international organizations. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Development Officer with strong technical writing skills to support our government contracting process. This position involves preparing technical proposals and related documentation for U.S. federal and state solicitations, with a primary focus on services and occasional product-based opportunities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring procurement platforms, analyzing requirements, and contributing to high-quality RFP and RFQ submissions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review solicitation documents to extract and summarize project requirements.
• Prepare compliant and compelling technical proposals for services contracts.
• Draft, compile, and organize supporting documents for RFP and RFQ submissions.
• Maintain a pipeline of identified opportunities and track submission deadlines.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely, complete, and accurate submissions.
• Assist in improving templates and documentation processes over time.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in BBA, Economic, with 2 years proven experience in BD
• Proven experience in proposal writing.
• Excellent English writing and communication skills. (An English test will be conducted before recruitment).
• High attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and PDF editing tools.
• Reliable internet connection and availability for virtual coordination.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with U.S. federal and state procurement platforms.
• Experience working with RFPs/RFQs, especially in government contracting.
• Understanding of compliance requirements in technical and administrative documents.
