Coordination of Humanitarian Assistance (CHA) is a non-governmental, non-profitable, and non-political Afghan NGO, working since 1987 mainly in agriculture, health, education, and infrastructure sectors in more vulnerable areas of the country. CHA is working through the implementation of Emergency, rehabilitation, and development projects for emergency aid for war, famine, and natural disaster-affected families in the field, to assist with the rehabilitation of rural and urban life, and to work with communities for sustainable development in Afghanistan.

Job Descriptions:

  • Supervise regularly health facilities and provide technical support to the relevant technical staff to ensure implementation of the project as per project work plan
  • Periodically individually or along with PM and DPM review project wok plan for the purpose of its progress.
  • Provide technical support to the health technical staff to ensure proper implementation of the project work plan.
  • Provide timely verbal and written feedback and on-job training to technical staff to ensure quality care service in health facilities.
  • Collaborate with PM and DPM in Monthly update, quarterly update, PIP, Semiannually, yearly and end of project reports.
  • Review sub office technical team supervisory feedback reports and ensure their follow in the visited HFs.
  • Support the project manager in providing quality health activities in the targeted communities through regular technical follow-ups, timely feedback, supervision and monitoring.
  • Document all technical meeting minutes carried out in sub office or conducted in the PPHD like PHCC.
  • Ensure specific checklist is developed and used in coordination with the Technical Department and at least fill NMC for each HF in his cluster once/quarter.
  • Provision of a supervision report from the visited HFs and share findings with his/her line manager via report and with the relevant HFs directors and ensure him/her self being sharing all findings with visited HFs` technical staff.
  • Make sure that HMIS system is followed and any problem related to it is addressed.
  • The HMIS data analysis should be done in collaboration with the facility manager and specific problem identified is addressed together with the staff of health facilities, in case of any big discrepancy HMIS department is putting in the picture.
  • Prepare and submission monthly activity report at the end of each month and share to his/her line manager
  • Any other assignment given by his/her supervisor

 

Job Requirements:

  • MD/ Health related field.
  • Supervision experience of health and nutrition programs (including CMAM), micronutrient supplementation, maternal health and nutrition programs.
  • Ability in planning and reporting system on result-based approach.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, Dari, Pashto and local languages
  • Ability to use computer and have knowledge in MS office.
