Project Background:

Through this purposed interventions PUI and IMC will jointly implement the project for 12 months aimed at addressing the needs of the most vulnerable populations in the Eastern, Southeastern, and Central regions of Afghanistan. The action aims to provide integrated Health including SRH, Nutrition, MHPSS, WASH services with a crisis modifier component that can be triggered for rapid onset disasters, in particular scenarios i.e., epidemics, natural disasters, violence leading to displacements and returnees. The intervention will focus on supporting communities in underserved and hard-to-reach areas, specifically in provinces such as Kabul, Paktika, Paktika, Ghazni, Nangarhar, Kunar, Laghman and Parwan. Through a joint approach, the project will expand its geographical coverage, ensuring that underserved population benefit from humanitarian assistance. Intervention will include:- Provide integrated Primary healthcare services and emergency lifesaving services (including SRH and MHPSS) to remote/ underserved areas.- Improve the nutrition status of pregnant, lactating women and children under 5 years, by providing access to quality and comprehensive nutrition preventive and curative services- Improve supported health facilities infrastructure and maintain a safe and dignified access to water, sanitation, and hygiene in health facilities catchment areas.- Provide health, nutrition, PSS, and WASH emergency response to people affected by natural disasters, outbreaks, and violence. Through this joint approach, PUI and IMC will focus on reducing the mortality, morbidity, and vulnerability of conflict- and disaster-affected populations, aiming to reach 433,185 unique beneficiaries. Intervention will focus on providing life-saving services to vulnerable populations, including women, girls, and pregnant and lactating women, in remote areas through safe, dignified and inclusive programming.

 

Job Descriptions:

Job Purpose:

The Data Collector/Surveyor will be responsible for collecting high-quality quantitative and qualitative data from households, communities, or health facilities as part of the baseline survey for a health project. This includes conducting structured interviews, facilitating Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and supporting data entry and cleaning. The collected data will inform planning, monitoring, and evaluation activities.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Job Description/ Scope of Work:

  1. The data collector will participate in an orientation session in the office.
  2. The data collector should visit the given sites of Paktika province.
  3. 3.The data collector will be responsible for data collection through interviews at HH level, interviews with Key Informants and FGDs Focus Group Discussion. 
  4. The Data Collector will ensure taking accurate and clear notes from the KII and FGD sessions. 
  5. The Data Collector will provide daily updates to the MEL team. 5.
  6. The Data Collector will report to the HMIS/M&E Assistant for data cross check and rectification. 7
  7. The Data Collector must ensure the quality of data at an optimal level. 8.
  8. The Data Collector must maintain privacy and confidentiality of the beneficiaries.                    Organizational Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

High school graduate.

Bachelor’s degree will be given preference.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in qualitative/quantitative surveys, conducting Interviews, KIIs and Focus group discussions (FGDs).

       Preference will be given to locals of Paktika, especially to the residents of Dela, Niamat Abad, Urgon, and        Wazikhowa Districts (Paktika).

Competency:

 

  • Good staff management, planning and organizing skills with strong command of context analysis, security management, networking, and collaboration.
  • Communication skills and strong local language correspondence skills. Particularly in fluency in English, Dari and Pashtu speaking /writing skills are required.
  • Ability to write logical, clear, and concise reports.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint Excel and internet is required.
