Further, KRO is an Afghan organization that is committed to the development of the local economy and building local capacity for sustainable development. Thus, we have an established specialized network in many provinces of the country in order to design, implement related activities in the field of food security, research, capacity building, disaster management, and placement.

Job Descriptions:

  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly activity plans for the project activities in targeted communities.
  • Establish beneficiaries’ selection committees in targeted communities for selecting and identifying the most vulnerable households for the project. 
  • Conduct coordination meetings with relevant stakeholders to briefly explain project goals, objectives, and beneficiary selection criteria.
  • Liaising with project management teams to ensure that the project work plan is accurate and applicable in the field before work commences.
  • Identify and select food-insecure and vulnerable households within the targeted communities based on beneficiary selection criteria.
  • Build positive working relationships with committee members, local authorities, and community leaders.
  • Support cash and NFI kit distributions for households, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
  • Monitor all agriculture, livestock and cash for work activities on daily basis in targeted communities.  
  • Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with the district engineer, agriculture trainer, social mobilizer, assessment and distribution and other organizational personnel.
  • Facilitate training sessions for targeted households on agriculture and livestock management.
  • Conduct consultative community meetings on project interventions and identify potential target villages based on defined criteria.  
  • Ordering and scheduling the delivery of all equipment needed for the project activities.
  • Acting as the main point of communication between the main and field office.
  • Providing leadership to on-site staff, sub-contractors, and other parties.
  • Handle beneficiaries' complaints and provide support to investigate and resolve beneficiary’s complaints.
  • Ensuring that safety policies are strictly adhered to the cash for work households.
  • Reviewing project progress to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports to the line manager, coordinating closely during each step of the data collection process.
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with the activity plan and project goals.
  • Sensitize the community about project activities and outcomes to ensure interest and willingness to participate.
  • Conduct exercises for needs identification and prioritization in targeted villages and fill out assessment forms for submission to the project manager.
  • Document all related activities in both digital and physical formats, maintaining organized records for all activities.
  • Assist during the distribution of project inputs and maintain accurate records of distributions.
  • Help organize and run capacity-building programs within the project area.
  • Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by the project manager related to project activities.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Agriculture, social science or related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of progressive work experience in similar roles in the field of food security and nutrition livelihood agriculture projects with INGOs or NGOS.
  • Proven experience supervising field operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Good spoken and written skills in English and Pashto and Dari language and possess good skills in report writing.
  • General relevant computer skills including Microsoft word, excel and power point.
