Job Descriptions:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy / Assistant Manager – Logistics Operations to join our Kabul team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing end-to-end transit trade operations across Afghanistan, ensuring compliance with SOPs, safe cargo handling, and seamless coordination with teams across multiple border points

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage operations teams at different border points in Afghanistan to ensure smooth execution of work, while being based in Kabul. Frequent travel to various borders will be required to coordinate with field teams.
  • Should have strong knowledge of sea freight and air freight import operations, with the ability to independently manage all related logistics processes and lead the team effectively.
  • Ensure safe handling, cross-stuffing, and movement of cargo without damage or delays.
  • Monitor and enforce operational SOPs to maintain efficiency, compliance, and cargo security.
  • Coordinate with port teams, customs, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transit movements.
  • Supervise, guide, and support field teams across multiple locations, ensuring timely problem resolution.
  • Prepare and review operational reports, escalating key updates to senior management.
  • Implement best practices to optimize operational costs and improve service delivery.
  • Should have strong knowledge of sea freight and air freight import operations, with the ability to independently manage all related logistics processes and lead the team effectively.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).
  • 5–7 years of experience in logistics, transit trade, or cross-border operations (experience in Afghanistan/Pakistan trade corridors highly desirable) or similar qualifiaction.
  • Strong understanding of customs, border clearance, and transit process
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multi-location operational teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English, Dari, and/or Pashto will be an advantage. Preference will be given to those who knows Uzbek/ Russian language
