Bakhter Development Network (BDN) was established and registered in 2001 with the Ministry of Economics in Afghanistan as an Afghan, non-political, non-profit, and non-governmental organization. BDN operates in line with its constitution in three sectors: education, health, and agriculture and livestock. The guard for the health facility level will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the healthcare facility as part of the "Provision of Health and Nutrition Services in Underserved Communities of Kunduz Province" project. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a secure environment for both healthcare personnel and patients.

The guard is responsible for:

• Monitor access to the health facility premises and verify the identity of individuals entering.
• Conduct security checks and inspections as necessary.
• Conduct regular patrols in and around the health facility to deter unauthorized access and suspicious activities.
• Respond promptly to security incidents or alarms, such as unauthorized entry, disturbances, or safety threats.
• Alert appropriate personnel and authorities in case of emergencies.
• Safeguard medical equipment, supplies, and other assets from theft or damage.
• Report any missing or damaged items to the relevant authorities.
• Assist patients and visitors in finding their way within the health facility.
• Provide information and guidance as needed.
• Ensuring punctual duty attendance based on the provided schedule.
• Maintaining cleanliness in the health facility environment.
• Daily disposal of health facility garbage.
• Assisting in the loading and unloading of medical equipment at the health facility.
• Managing and maintaining the office generator daily.
• Performing tasks as directed by the supervisor.

• Knowledge of reading and writing.
• Previous experience as a security guard or in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
• Physical fitness and the ability to remain alert during duty hours.
• Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with healthcare staff and patients.
• Respect for patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Knowledge of local languages (Dari and Pashto).
