Position Summary:
The Agriculture Master Trainer will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of high-quality agricultural training and technical assistance to targeted households under the EWSRSA project. Detailed Responsibilities:
1. Training Design and Curriculum Development
- Develop and adapt agriculture training materials, manuals, and modules suitable for local contexts and literacy levels.
- Design practical, gender-sensitive training programs on improved agricultural techniques, home gardening, small-scale livestock, and climate-smart practices.
- Coordinate with UN Women and AWDEP technical teams to ensure training content aligns with project objectives and donor guidelines.
- Prepare seasonal training schedules and lesson plans for different groups and field locations.
2. Capacity Building and Training Delivery
- Deliver participatory and hands-on training sessions to project beneficiaries, farmer groups, and community members.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

- Design, update, and maintain data collection tools, beneficiary tracking sheets, and indicator tracking tables.
- Develop monitoring checklists and ensure their consistent use by project and field staff.

2. Data Collection, Verification, and Analysis
- Conduct regular field monitoring visits to assess project implementation, verify data, and observe progress in line with the project work plan.
- Collect quantitative and qualitative data from field activities using digital tools such as Kobo, Excel, or ODK.
- Verify accuracy and consistency of reported data from field teams before submission to management.
- Maintain an updated and well-organized project database (disaggregated by gender, age, and location).
- Conduct spot checks to validate beneficiary lists, attendance sheets, and distribution reports.
- Compile and analyze collected data to identify trends, gaps, and areas requiring improvement.
3. Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and final M&E reports summarizing key findings, progress against indicators, and recommendations.
- Support the Project Manager in preparing donor progress reports by providing accurate and updated M&E data.
- Draft case studies, human-interest stories, and success stories demonstrating project impact.
- Maintain a well-documented filing system (both hard and soft copies) for all M&E-related documents.
- Share key monitoring findings and lessons learned with project teams during review meetings.
4. Evaluation and Learning
- Support baseline, midline, and endline assessments in coordination with external evaluators or consultants.
- Facilitate learning sessions, after-action reviews, and reflection meetings to promote adaptive management.
- Identify and document lessons learned and best practices for future project design and improvement.
- Support in designing and implementing feedback and complaint response mechanisms (CRM) for beneficiaries.
5. Coordination and Capacity Building
- Work closely with project teams, partners, and community structures to strengthen M&E understanding and compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and training to project and field staff on data collection, reporting, and M&E tools.
- Coordinate with local stakeholders, government departments, and UN Women field teams for joint monitoring visits and reporting alignment.
- Represent AWDEP’s M&E work in coordination meetings when required.
6. Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure M&E activities comply with AWDEP and UN Women’s data quality standards, ethical principles, and confidentiality requirements.
- Review data for completeness, accuracy, and reliability before submission to the donor.
- Support management in developing and updating project indicators, targets, and performance frameworks.
- Regularly assess progress toward achieving outcomes and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics, Statistics, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in M&E roles with NGOs or UN-funded projects.
- Proven experience in designing and managing M&E systems, data analysis, and reporting.
- Strong proficiency in data management tools (Excel, Kobo, Power BI, or similar).
- Excellent analytical and report-writing skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to gender equality.
- Fluency in Pashto and Dari; good working knowledge of English.

Organizational Background:
Afghanistan Women Development and Educational Programs (AWDEP) is a women-led, non-governmental, non-profit organization established to empower Afghan women, youth, and vulnerable households through education, livelihood development, and resilience-building initiatives. AWDEP implements humanitarian and development programs focusing on women’s economic empowerment, protection, and community engagement.
Position Summary:
The Social Worker will play a vital role in community mobilization, beneficiary identification, and the delivery of social support services to vulnerable households targeted under the EWSRSA project. The Social Worker will ensure effective community participation, provide continuous follow-up with beneficiaries, and support awareness, counseling, and empowerment sessions at the community level.
Detailed Responsibilities:
1. Community Mobilization and Beneficiary Engagement
- Conduct outreach activities and mobilize community members, local leaders, and households to participate in project interventions.
- Support in identifying eligible project beneficiaries according to selection criteria.
- Maintain regular communication and trust-based relationships with community members, especially women-headed households and vulnerable families.
- Organize and facilitate community meetings, awareness sessions, and focus group discussions.
- Ensure that all community activities are inclusive and culturally sensitive, promoting equal participation of women and men.
2. Case Management and Social Support
- Conduct household visits to assess the needs and vulnerabilities of selected beneficiaries.
- Provide counseling and basic psychosocial support when required, referring complex cases to relevant service providers.
- Maintain confidential, accurate, and up-to-date case files for all assigned beneficiaries.
- Follow up regularly to monitor progress of each beneficiary and document changes in their situation.
- Support beneficiaries in accessing livelihood, vocational training, and small business support services under the project.
3. Awareness and Capacity Building Sessions
- Facilitate awareness sessions on key social and household resilience topics (e.g., gender equality, family well-being, household finance, basic health and hygiene).
- Assist trainers and project staff in organizing life skills, business management, and vocational training sessions.
- Encourage active participation of women in project activities and promote positive social change at the community level.
4. Coordination and Reporting
- Coordinate closely with the Field Coordinator, Project Manager, and M&E Officer to ensure effective implementation and documentation of activities.
- Collect and submit attendance sheets, photos, and beneficiary reports for all field activities.
- Participate in regular coordination and review meetings with project teams and community representatives.
- Support the M&E team during data collection, surveys, and verification processes.
- Prepare short field activity summaries, case studies, and success stories for reporting.
5. Compliance and Accountability
- Adhere to AWDEP’s safeguarding, gender, and code of conduct policies.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in line with UN Women and AWDEP protection and ethical standards.
- Promote accountability and transparency at the community level and help facilitate feedback and complaint mechanisms.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in social work, case management, or community mobilization (preferably with NGOs or UN-funded projects).
