NCA is one of the largest aid organisations in the Nordic region. We have 21 country offices in Africa, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East, including four joint country offices and other partner organisations. Our mandate is to save lives and seek justice. We do this by working with long-term development programmes, humanitarian interventions and advocacy towards decision-makers to address the root causes of injustice, poverty and power imbalance. Most of our work is undertaken in close cooperation with local civil society partners and a wide range of other NGOs. NCA Afghanistan is working in the thematic area of Climate Resilient WASH, Climate Smart Economic Empowerment, Humanitarian Response, Learning and Social Development and Civil Society capacity building. 

Main Responsibilities:

• Conduct household-level and group mobilization in target villages.
• Facilitate community meetings, awareness sessions, and farmer group training.
• Support CSA trainers and technical staff during training and field activities.
• Monitor participation of women, youth, and vulnerable groups.
• Assist in data collection, attendance tracking, and photo documentation.

Main Tasks:

• Conduct household visits and group mobilization in target villages. Build trust and rapport with community members.
• Organize and facilitate community meetings, awareness sessions, and farmer group training.
• Assist CSA trainers and technical staff during field activities and training sessions.
• Track and encourage participation of women, youth, and vulnerable groups in activities.
• Collect attendance, take photos, and assist in basic data collection during activities.

• Batchler’s degree or equivalent.
•   More than two years of experience in community engagement or mobilization.
• Experience in facilitating group discussions and training.
• Familiarity with adult learning principles.
• Prior experience supporting technical teams in field settings.
• Experience working with marginalized groups.
•  Knowledge of gender and inclusion principles.
• Basic literacy and numeracy and experience with manual or digital data collection.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to engage in diverse groups.
• Group facilitation and public speaking and basic training delivery skills.
• Teamwork and coordination and basic understanding of agricultural or CSA practices.
• Pashto and Dari languages skills.
• Travels to field.
