Job Descriptions:

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in full end-to-end web application development. The ideal candidate will manage everything from coding and debugging to testing, database integration, server connection, and deployment.

You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and troubleshooting software systems that connect directly with our servers and databases, ensuring the product is functional, secure, and optimised for performance.

This is a zero-hour contract role — work is assigned as needed. It suits an experienced developer who can operate independently, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and deliver high-quality, production-ready systems with minimal supervision.


Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Development

  • Develop and maintain complete web applications, including frontend and backend layers.
  • Write clean, reusable, and efficient HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and SQL code.
  • Manage backend logic, database structures, and data flow.
  • Design and maintain SQL-based databases, ensuring data integrity and optimisation.
  • Build backend functionality to support dynamic, data-driven applications.
  • (Optional) Use Python for server-side scripting or automation where applicable.
  • Handle domain setup, DNS management, and deployment of live environments.

Debugging & Testing

  • Identify, analyse, and fix software bugs, crashes, and configuration issues.
  • Conduct thorough debugging across both frontend and backend systems.
  • Perform manual and automated testing to ensure reliability before release.
  • Write and execute unit and integration tests as needed.
  • Ensure all applications function correctly across browsers and devices.

Database & Server Integration

  • Develop and maintain SQL database schemas, queries, and stored procedures.
  • Handle data migration, updates, and maintenance tasks.
  • Integrate backend services and connect systems with internal or external servers.
  • Manage connections between application layers and ensure stable data transmission.
  • Optimize server-side code for speed, security, and scalability.

Deployment & Maintenance

  • Deploy applications to production environments with minimal downtime.
  • Manage domain configuration, hosting setup, and SSL certificates.
  • Conduct regular updates and ensure application uptime.
  • Monitor server performance and optimise database queries and backend logic.
  • Maintain error logs and resolve reported issues promptly.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement secure coding practices to protect user data and application integrity.
  • Maintain access control and ensure database safety.
  • Apply updates and patches as needed to eliminate vulnerabilities.

Documentation & Collaboration

  • Document system architecture, application setup, and deployment steps.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to define and meet project goals.
  • Provide reports on bugs fixed, changes made, and system improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and project leads.


Required Technical Skills

Frontend Development

  • HTML5

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional full stack development experience.
