Job Descriptions:

The Targeted Supplementary Feeding Programme (TSFP) supervisor is responsible for the smooth running of the TSFP program in the province/selected HFs s/he should be able to analyze TSFP and other nutrition data collected throughout the province. A good relationship with the nutrition partners (PNO UNICEF WFP WHO etc.…)

The TSFP Supervisor is Responsible For the following:

  • Responsible for planning, implementation, supervision, and monitoring of the TSFP OPD-MAM-related activities.
  • Together with the cluster supervisor check over all RUSF & Super cereal supplies and check for their accuracy.
  • Conducted on-the-job training for food distributors, HFs in charge, nutrition consults, and midwives at the health facilities level.
  • Identify and report problems that interfere with the delivery of services
  • On-the-job training on managing TSFP Foods training courses to HFs TSFP Assistants.
  • Make sure that the TSFP foods are arranged according to FEFO/FIFO and expiration date.
  • Ensure safe, clean, and proper storage of RUSF & Super cereal at HFs
  • Attend coordination meetings related to Nutrition (TSFP OPD MAM) issues at cluster meetings.
  • Prepare monthly activity reports of the supervision and submission them to the TSFP Officer/TSFP Project Focal Point
  • Analysis of HFs monthly reports
  • Control of irrational use of TSFP foods at HFs level
  • Support of staff for adherence to Nutrition (OPD-MAM) guidelines at HFs level.
  • Compare consumption/distribution of RUSF & Super cereal with monthly report/registers and stock and stock card quantity and share feedback with an action plan and follow-up
  • Compare total case detection with targeted SAM & MAM of total OPD and share feedback with an action plan and follow-up
  • Regular preparation of feedback and action plans after each supervision/monitoring and sharing with the line manager
  • Assist TSFP Officer/TSFP Project Focal Point and TSFP team if need
  • Regular requests, use, and requests of TSFP-related formats.
  • Preparing monthly supervision and action plan

Job Requirements:

  • Have an MD degree or Midlevel health worker graduated from a medical university.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in the implementation of a TSFP and nutrition program
  • Knowledge of English and local languages and basic computer skills
  • Interpersonal managerial and conflict resolution skills
  • Communication skills and knowledge of local communities
  • Negotiation skills in multicultural and multilingual environments Self-motivated
