Job Description

 

      Monitoring and Evaluation Frameworks:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive M&E frameworks for various programs/projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and donor requirements.
  • Establish clear indicators and methodologies for programs/project monitoring and evaluation.

       Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Lead the design and implementation of data collection tools and processes, including surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to assess programs/projects performance and impact.

Reporting:

  • Prepare high-quality monthly and final reports on program/project outcomes, highlighting achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
  • Ensure reports are timely, accurate, and tailored to meet the needs of stakeholders, including donors, partners, and the MEC management.

Proposal Writing:

  • Collaborate with program teams to conceptualize and develop project proposals, ensuring that M&E components are integrated effectively.
  • Conduct research and gather data to strengthen proposal narratives and provide evidence-based justification for programs/project activities and outcomes.

Capacity Building:

  • Provide training and support to project teams and partners on M&E best practices, tools, and methodologies.
  • Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement by facilitating workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with donors, partners, and beneficiaries to ensure their perspectives are incorporated into M&E processes.
  • Represent MEC at external meetings, seminars, and workshops related to M&E and projects performance when required.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and recommend enhancements to M&E systems and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on M&E trends, tools, and technologies, integrating relevant innovations into the organization's practices

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Education, Social Sciences, Development Studies or a related field. Preference is given to Master’s degree.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within the humanitarian sector.
  • Fluent in English, Dari, and Pashto languages
  • Proven experience in writing high-quality reports and funding proposals that secured project funding.
  • Advanced skills in Kobo toolbox and ODK Collect
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in statistical software and data analysis tools
  • Familiarity with M&E frameworks such as Logical Framework Approach and Theory of Change.
