Our initiatives extend to livelihood improvement, protection, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), humanitarian aid, grant management, capacity building, social rehabilitation, cohesion, and justice. AWEC has successfully implemented projects in Logar, Faryab, Kapisa, Khost, Panjshir, Wardak, Kabul, Balkh, Herat, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Badakhshan, Parwan, Paktia, Paktika, Laghman, Nuristan, and Bamyan provinces, maintaining an active presence in Kabul, Balkh, Herat, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Badakhshan, Parwan, Paktia, Paktika, Laghman, Nuristan, and Bamyan.

Job Descriptions:

The Livelihood Trainer will support the economic empowerment of female returnees and vulnerable women by delivering practical livelihood and dairy production trainings. The role focuses on equipping beneficiaries with skills to generate sustainable income, improve market access, and enhance food and income security through dairy and other livelihood activities.

The Trainer will work closely with the Project Manager to implement market-oriented livelihood programs, organize exposure visits, facilitate market linkages, and strengthen beneficiaries’ practical skills for income generation.

Responsibilities:

Identify eligible female returnees and vulnerable women for livelihood programs.

Equip beneficiaries with essential livelihood and dairy production skills.

Enhance beneficiaries’ literacy, numeracy, and life skills, where required.

Facilitate access to markets, partnerships, and networks for sustainable livelihoods.

Conduct baseline and follow-up assessments to understand beneficiaries’ skills, needs, and livelihood potential.

Survey beneficiaries to identify gaps in skills, resources, and market access.

Collect and analyze data to inform training content, program design, and intervention strategies.

Prepare reports on assessment findings to guide project planning and implementation.

Develop and deliver practical livelihood trainings, with a focus on dairy production and other income-generating activities.

Coach and mentor beneficiaries on livelihood planning, production techniques, and income management.

Organize group sessions, exposure visits, and practical demonstrations to reinforce learning.

Conduct market research to identify opportunities for dairy products and other livelihoods.

Facilitate connections between beneficiaries and local buyers or markets.

Conduct field visits to monitor progress, provide guidance, and support hands-on learning.

Provide regular reporting inputs to the Project Manager on beneficiary progress, achievements, and success stories.

Perform any other duties assigned in line with project objectives.

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

A Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, management, Education and Economic and/ or any other related field.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in livelihood training, dairy production, or skills development programs.

Knowledge and Skills:

Proven ability in delivering practical trainings and coaching beneficiaries.

Experience conducting assessments and surveys to inform livelihood interventions.

Experience working with vulnerable women and girls using gender-responsive approaches.

Strong communication and active listening skills; ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.

Respect for confidentiality, empathy, and professionalism.

Fluency in Pashto and Dari; English is an asset.

Ability to work independently, manage field activities, and handle sensitive situations.
