The Medical Management and Research Courses Afghanistan (MMRCA) is a national, non-governmental, non-political, non-profit and humanitarian organization, established under No. 1112 dated 14 February 2008 in the Ministry of Economy and under No. 1271 dated 23 the July 2025 has been registered in the Ministry of Public Health of Afghanistan.

MMRCA is awarded for the implementation of Operational support for 100-beds DATC with three DATC outreach Mobile Teams (DATC MOT) and one Opioid substitutional Treatment (OST) clinic with one OST MOT in Kandahar province and Operational support for 150-beds Adult DATC with two DATC Outreach Mobile Teams (DATC-MOT) and One Adolescent DATC with one DATC mobile Outreach Team (DATC-MOT) in Nangahar Province from WHO, the project duration is for 11 months and 5 days and will starts from 1^st August 2025.

Through HER Samangan project MMRCA has been providing quality health services to the entire population of the province according to BPHS and EPHS guidelines and MoPH policies/ strategies.  These services are providing through 4 DHs, 4 CHCs, 18 BHCs, 24 Sub-centers, 1MHT and 1-prison health center and 3-FHH, Similarly, Sar-e-Pul has a total of 71 HFs including 3-DHs, 9 CHCs, 20 BHCs, 32 PHCs, one MHT, 5 FHHs and one Prison Health Center.

MMRCA invites and encourage eligible candidates to apply for the position of Surgeon Specialist located at Sar-e-Pol province Balkhab District, Tarkhuch District Hospital

Medical Activities in OPD:

• Do OPD surgical consultations according to schedule for men and children, where there is no female doctor, also female patients. Help also for general OPD consultations.
• Take accurate history, perform examination and diagnosis
• Prescribe treatments according to MoPH and WHO guidelines and provide appropriate health education to the patient
• Manage the emergency and planned surgical cases

Medical Activities in IPD

• Visit every day all the inpatients
• Perform surgical procedure according to BPHS guideline
• Follow up the patients after the surgery in the ward and recovery room
• Follow up the dressing of patients and give direction to nurse
• Covering the work needs in the emergency ward and give direction to the nurse 
• Take accurate history, perform an examination for IPD patients
• Fill up the patients IPD documents and give order to nursing
• Taking every day, the IPD patients progressive notes
• Follow up the IPD activity (taking vital sign, dressing…) of nurse
• Giving the order for blood transfusion for the patients if necessary
• Participate every day in the morning report
• Do night duty and on call according to schedule

Conditions:

• Saturday- Thursday: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Doing night duty and on call according to schedule 

In case of emergency and the needs of programs, staff must be flexible to extend the working hours from the normal schedule.

Graduated from Medical Faculty and holding of Surgeon Specialty Degree with minimum 3 years related experience.
