Architectural Design Engineer

Afghanistan Alibaba Construction and Engineering Company is a growing construction firm committed to delivering high-quality, innovative, and sustainable building solutions across Afghanistan.
We are expanding our design department and seeking a qualified architectural engineer to join our professional team.

The Architectural Design Engineer is responsible for the planning, development, and preparation of architectural designs, detailed drawings, and comprehensive technical documentation for construction projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, creative problem-solving abilities, and a thorough understanding of engineering principles.
The incumbent will ensure that all designs comply with applicable building codes, industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Prepare architectural designs, layouts, and detailed drawings

• Develop 2D and 3D models for project visualization

• Review project requirements and site conditions

• Coordinate with engineering and construction teams

• Ensure designs comply with national and international standards

• Prepare BOQs and technical specifications when required

• Revise drawings based on project feedback

• Support project supervision when needed

• Maintain proper documentation of design files

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience

• Strong knowledge of architectural design principles and best practices

• Proven experience in building design and preparation of construction drawings

• Good understanding of Afghan building codes and regulations

• Demonstrated experience preparing designs in accordance with the frameworks and regulations of Afghanistan's municipalities

Required Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)

• Knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, or 3D Max (preferred)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Good communication and teamwork ability

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Fluency in Dari or Pashto; English is an advantage
