About NSRDO

NSRDO Background:

NSRDO is a youth-led organization founded in 2006, dedicated to empowering marginalized women, children, and people with disabilities across Afghanistan. We focus on uplifting vulnerable communities by addressing critical issues such as poverty, education, WASH, healthcare, and sustainable development. Guided by the belief that everyone deserves a fair chance at a better future, we work tirelessly to provide resources, support, and hope to those in need.

We also work in food & security, agriculture, emergency relief, nutrition, peacebuilding, livelihood, community infrastructure, and the defense of human rights. NSRDO commenced its operations in 2005. Since then, NSRDO has been operating in Kabul and other provinces of Afghanistan and has regional offices in Nangarhar, Kandahar, Herat, Kunduz, Bamyan, and Paktia Provinces, along with its head office in Kabul.
NSRDO was registered in the Ministry of Planning by decision no. (951) dated 25/6/1383 and entitled to work in the capital, Kabul, and other provinces. This is also reregistered in the Ministry of Economy by decision no. (598) dated 8/6/06. Additionally, the US Embassy, the European Commission, the Canadian Fund, UNPP, UNGM, MoLSA, MoMD, MoE, and MoPH all have NSRDO registered.

For over 20 years, we have collaborated with donors, volunteers, and partner organizations to create meaningful, lasting change. Our mission is to deliver immediate relief while implementing sustainable solutions that enhance the quality of life for future generations.

NSRDO operates solely in Afghanistan, aiming to transform itself into one of Afghanistan’s foremost- developed NGOs. Although it continues to respond to the needs of rural communities in order to improve their living condition and utilize the resource in a well and transparent manner. NSRDO endeavors to reach the most disadvantaged groups in Afghan society often under very difficult circumstances. Among those with whom NSRDO works are poor families, women, farmers, unemployed and the uneducated population across the country.

Job Description

1. Job Summary

The Education Officer is responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, and monitoring of education programs to improve access to quality education in project areas. The position works closely with schools, teachers, communities, and local education authorities to ensure successful education activities.

2. Job Description

Program Implementation
    •    Implement education project activities in schools and communities.
    •    Support the delivery of education services according to project plans.
    •    Ensure project activities are carried out effectively and on time.

Monitoring and Reporting
    •    Monitor education activities in the field.
    •    Collect data and prepare progress reports.
    •    Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Coordination
    •    Coordinate with school staff, community leaders, and education authorities.
    •    Participate in education meetings and coordination activities.

Training and Capacity Building
    •    Organize training sessions for teachers and education staff.
    •    Support the development of teaching and learning materials.

Community Engagement
    •    Support community awareness activities related to education.
    •    Encourage community participation in education programs.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Having at least a Bachelor’s degree in Educational Planning, Educational Leadership& Management, Education, Social Science, Sociology, Psychology, or any other relevant field.
  • Having at least 4-5 years’ experience from an accredited college or university and having a master degree will be preferred.
  • Required Languages – Excellent Pashto and Dari reading, writing, and verbal skills, Fluent in English, reading, writing, and verbal skills.  
  • Enough experience in designing and delivery of training.
  • Experience in preparing session plans for the short-term capacity-building training.
  • Excellent interpersonal Skills and ability to work under stress to meet the objectives of the assignment.
  • Ability to establish good relations with all stakeholders.
  •  To have hands-on experience in computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop), other multimedia software, internet, and e-mail skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Pashto, and Dari languages.
  • Excellent writing, reading, and speaking skills in English, Dari, and Pashto languages.
  • Strong typing skills in English and local languages.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organizational goals
