About BARAN

Bu Ali Rehabilitation and Aid Network (BARAN) is a nongovernmental, non-political and independent organization. BARAN has been established in 27.7.2006 registered with the Ministry of Economy (MoEc), Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), Ministry of Education (MoE) , Ministry of labour, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled (MoLSAMD), Ministry of Justice (MoJ) in order to deliver standard health care, social and educational services including conducting researches. Special attention is given for the community development by promoting capacity building programs.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and cleaning of the warehouse premises on a regular basis. Ensuring a well-lit, clean, dry environment, with a moderate temperature and easy access to all goods.
  • Assisting for improving air-circulation management of warehouse where possible and necessary.
  • Assisting for efficient and systematic storage of the best possible use of the warehouse space without compromising security or safety or the condition of the goods.
  • Assisting for better storage conditions for specific items are met: including special attention for the storage of hazardous or flammable materials.
  • Assisting in Managing of HF Supply.
  • Maintenance of clear, accurate documentation for all movement of stock in and out of the warehouse, using stock cards, Goods Received forms and Waybills.
  • Well organized filing of all warehouse documents.
  • Preparation in Excel, of monthly stock report covering all (medical and non-medical) items and any other reporting as required, to be submitted to the Log Officer on a regular basis.
  • Undertake regular stock reconciliations to verify real quantities against that on paperwork for assisting warehouse officer.
  • Verify correct signatures and approvals for the release of any goods from the warehouse, ensuring paperwork is collected and correctly completed.
  • Organize the advance preparation of outgoing deliveries for health facilities or other destinations so that they are ready for loading at the required time.
  • Coordinate closely with pharmacy staff to ensure drugs are organized according to their requirements and according to specified ambient conditions.
  • Assisting for all reasonable measures are taken for the Health & Safety of warehouse personnel, including clear communication procedures in the event of an accident and easy access to first aid
  • equipment and supplies. Check that the contents of first aid kits are regularly inspected and any necessary replacements made.
  • Keeping all ware house related documents.
  • Manage Access & Security of the warehouse, ensuring that keys are available at all times to necessary staff, that the premises are kept well guarded and secured, and taking a central role in the handling of any security incident related to the warehouse.
  • Assist that Fire-Risks are minimized to the fullest possible extent and that fire fighting equipment and procedures are well maintained and clear for all staff.
  • Maintain clear records on disposal of any stock, seeking the appropriate authorization and completing the required documentation.
  • Maintain excellent working relationship with the warehouse owner and any representatives. Monitor the contract to ensure BARAN adhere to terms and renew at an early date prior to contract lapse if appropriate.
  • Perform any other required project-related tasks.
  • Assisting the warehouse officer for providing monthly Stock management report.
  • Update inventory and cross check by identified committee.
  • Assist the warehouse officer managing cold chain, Medicine and medical equipment.
  • Providing monthly Stock movement report, updating inventory and cross check by identified committee.
  • Filling of related check lists, analysis and to report related departments.
  • Regular field visits and monthly.
  • Monthly physical inventory.
  • Quarterly inventory application for cross check.

Job Requirements

  1. Pharmasist or similar diploma and at least two years work experience, preferably with NGOs.
  2. Good knowledge and experience of storekeeping techniques, and skills including basic administration and management.
  3. Physically fit and strong.
  4. Able to work independently with little supervision.
  5. Good interpersonal and team working skills.
  6. Excellent computer skills on MS Word and Excel, specially, on database management..
  7. English language skills in writing, reading and formatting.
