About BARAN
Bu Ali Rehabilitation and Aid Network (BARAN) is a nongovernmental, non-political and independent organization. BARAN has been established in 27.7.2006 registered with the Ministry of Economy (MoEc), Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), Ministry of Education (MoE) , Ministry of labour, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled (MoLSAMD), Ministry of Justice (MoJ) in order to deliver standard health care, social and educational services including conducting researches. Special attention is given for the community development by promoting capacity building programs.
Job Description
Main duties and responsibilities:
- The Storekeeper is responsible to check Stock commodities in stock.
- To exercise general control over all activities in stock at distribution site.
- To ensure safe keeping both as to quality and quantity of materials.
- Provide update report of items movement to the Senior Logistic Officer.
- To maintain proper records of items incoming and outgoing.
- Controls for proper stock & store arrangement after every items movement/distribution.
- Monitors safety, security, and stock arrangement of all stocks in warehouses.
- Effectively manage, analyses and sort all incoming and outgoing materials.
- Maintain good work standards and controls, ensuring proper stock handling, record keeping and storeroom methods.
- Report on the quality, quantity of the received commodities in the Stock or Warehouse.
- Maintain clean and pest-free storing conditions;
- Ensure good warehousing practices;
- Control incoming goods and commodities by such methods as physical counts, random weight checks, rejection of any spoiled commodity, reconditioning of underweight bags, etc.
- Make regular physical inventory checks;
- Report on and, in consultation with others, take appropriate action for the disposal of spoilt commodities;
- Filling of related check lists, analysis and to report related departments.
- Regular field visits and monthly.
- Monthly physical inventory.
- Quarterly inventory application for cross check.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred)
- 1–2 years of experience in warehouse or stock management
- Basic knowledge of inventory/stock control procedures
- Familiarity with stock management systems or Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
