Job Description
Job Purpose:
Provision of emergency health, nutrition, MHPSS, and WASH services through fixed and outreach health centers.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Under the direct management of the senior Health Officer, the Medical Doctor/Nurse is responsible for the following main activities to ensure the provision of quality OPD.
- Diagnosis and treatment of patients coming to the primary health care.
- Conducting proper physical examination and checking vital signs of all patients.
- Using all standard treatment guidelines (IMNCI, NTG, TB, Malaria, MH GAP…)
- Dispensing of Rational Medicines usage to patients in the HF/outreach team.
- Provide medicine/medical supply monthly consumption reports regularly.
- Provide all monthly reports according to the HMIS tools.
- Ensure the patients' triage registration and measurements of vital signs.
- Dressing and first aid care of injured patients if needed.
- Recording and reporting of beneficiaries or patients regularly.
- Identify any patient in need of urgent care and refer them immediately to the equipped Health Center.
- Register any patient coming to seek care in the registration book.
- Respect IMC standards of procedures for referral and stabilization of patients.
- Take part in the management of pharmaceutical goods and medical equipment.
- Accompany patients to the external referral HF when required.
- Any other activity assigned by line Supervisor.

- Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.

- Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance and ethics throughout the International Medical Corps. As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards. Conducts work with the highest level of integrity

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Medical Degree from a recognized university.
Experience:
At least 2 years of working experience in the provision of health care services at the primary health care level.
Competency :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Pashto.
Preference will be given to the local resident of the area.
