Established on February 8, 2006, the Afghan Youth Services Organization (AYSO) is a multi-donor, multi-sectoral, non-political, and non-profit organization committed to empowering Afghan communities.

Job Description
The Program Support Intern will assist in the implementation of program activities and projects while supporting the program team in daily operational tasks. The intern will contribute to reporting, documentation, coordination, and monitoring activities to ensure smooth program delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Program Support
- Assist in the implementation of program activities and projects.
- Support the program team in daily operational tasks.
Documentation & Reporting
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and maintaining documentation.
- Ensure proper filing and record-keeping of program data.
Monitoring & Evaluation Support
- Support data collection, data entry, and basic analysis under supervision.
- Assist in tracking project progress and outputs.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, and events.
- Support communication with partners and beneficiaries as required.
Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative support to the program team.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Learning Opportunities
- Practical exposure to NGO program management.
- Hands-on experience in reporting, coordination, and teamwork.
- Understanding of monitoring and evaluation processes.
Job Requirements
Educational Background
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Development Studies, Public Health, or a related field.
Professional Experience
- No prior work experience required.
- Internship or volunteer experience in NGOs or community projects is an advantage.
Skills and Competencies
Technical Skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with project management concepts is an asset.
Language Skills
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
- Knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
Interpersonal Skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a professional environment.
Analytical Skills
- Basic data collection and organizational skills.
- Interest in learning monitoring and evaluation processes.
