Job Description

Position Summary
OWE is seeking a qualified and motivated female Program Coordinator to support and supervise the Program Department. The role focuses on ensuring effective planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of program activities. The position requires strong communication and writing skills, along with a high level of proficiency in English.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the overall functioning of the Program Department.
  • Support the design, planning, and implementation of projects and program activities.
  • Ensure programs are delivered in line with organizational objectives, donor requirements, and timelines.
  • Monitor program progress and provide regular updates and reports to senior management.
  • Develop high-quality narrative reports, proposals, concept notes, and other program documentation.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal teams, stakeholders, donors, and partners.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings and ensure proper documentation of discussions and action points.
  • Identify challenges in program implementation and propose practical solutions.
  • Ensure proper filing, documentation, and record-keeping of program-related materials.
  • Support capacity building of program staff where required.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in program coordination or management, preferably in NGOs or development organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising program activities and teams.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent writing skills, particularly in report writing and proposal development.
  • High proficiency in English (mandatory).
  • Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
