facility located at the Khushal Khan Dewan Begi Crossroad, PD#5, Kabul,

qualified and dedicated medical and support staff for multiple full-time
positions with rotating shifts.
Job Description
We are looking for a fast and skilled Canteen Cook to prepare and serve shawarmas, burgers, fresh juices, and coffee in a busy canteen setting. You will be responsible for grilling meats, assembling sandwiches, operating the juicer and espresso machine, and maintaining a clean, efficient workstation during peak hours.
Key Responsibilities
Shawarma & Grill Station
Prepare and operate the vertical broiler (shawarma machine) – including loading meat stacks, slicing, and monitoring doneness.
Grill burger patties (beef, chicken, or plant-based) to order.
Toast burger buns and warm shawarma wraps on a flat top or panini press.
Assemble shawarma plates/sandwiches with fresh vegetables, pickles, and sauces (e.g., tahini, garlic, hot sauce).
Burger Station
Cook burgers to requested doneness (if applicable) while maintaining speed during rushes.
Add cheese, caramelize onions, and top with lettuce, tomatoes, and sauces.
Prepare side items like french fries, onion rings, or wedges (if offered).
Fresh Juice & Smoothie Station
Wash, peel, and chop fresh fruits and vegetables (oranges, carrots, beets, apples, ginger, etc.).
Operate a commercial juice extractor and blender safely.
Prepare fresh juices, smoothies, and fruit mixes with minimal added sugar.
Maintain fruit supply at the counter and rotate stock to avoid spoilage.
Coffee Station
Operate an espresso machine (e.g., semi-automatic or automatic).
Prepare and serve:
Espresso, Americano, Latte, Cappuccino
Iced coffee and cold brew (if applicable)
Steam and froth milk to the correct temperature and texture.
Clean and descale the coffee machine daily.
General Canteen Duties
Take orders directly from customers or via a ticket system.
Handle cash or POS system (if applicable).
Keep all stations stocked with sauces, wraps, buns, cups, lids, and napkins.
Follow first-in, first-out (FIFO) for meat, dairy, and fresh produce.
Hygiene & Safety
Clean grills, shawarma machine blades, juicer, and coffee equipment after each shift.
Avoid cross-contamination between raw meats, ready-to-eat items, and produce.
Wear gloves and hairnets; wash hands frequently.
Monitor holding temperatures for meats (hot) and dairy/juices (cold).
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills Required
Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-food canteen, snack bar, or café.
Hands-on experience with shawarma vertical grill, flat top griddle, commercial juicer, and espresso machine.
Ability to work quickly during lunch rush (e.g., serving 50+ customers/hour).
Basic English or local language skills to take orders.
Physically fit to stand for long hours and lift supplies (up to 15 kg / 33 lbs).
Preferred (but can train)
Food Handler’s Certificate.
Experience with cash register or POS system.
Knowledge of basic latte art (for cappuccinos).
Working Conditions
High-pressure, fast-paced environment (peak breakfast and lunch hours).
Early shift may start at 6:00 AM (for coffee/juice prep).
Uniform: Apron, cap/hairnet, non-slip shoes.
