About ACBAR
The Agency Coordinating Body for Afghan Relief and Development, ACBAR, is an independent forum founded in 1988 in response to the demand from NGOs working with Afghan refugees in Pakistan and across the border in Afghanistan to more efficiently coordinate assistance and delivery of services. With its main office in Kabul since 2002, ACBAR brings together 230 National and International NGOs working in in all sectors of humanitarian assistance and development in Afghanistan. Its activities focus heavily on information to its members and the aid community in general, coordination of activities at the national and regional levels, and advocacy on issues affecting the work of its members in Afghanistan. ACBAR has a mission to provide an efficient platform for members to carry out effective humanitarian, development, and peace building activities in Afghanistan. The IT Communication Officer is responsible for managing and delivering clear, effective communication between the IT department and internal/external stakeholders while supporting the organization’s IT systems. The role ensures efficient operation of hardware, software, and networks, translates technical information into user-friendly content, and supports users while safeguarding data and maintaining system reliability.

IT responsibilities: IT responsibilities:- Responsible for all ACBAR IT management and requirements.
- Negotiate contracts and liaise with internet providers and web hosting companies
- To set up and maintain the network, email, and server configuration.
- Ensure that all the IT equipment in ACBAR offices is maintained and functioning properly (hardware and software).
- Ensure that all computers are backed up to the cloud server.
- Support all necessary security and virus protection aspects for standalone and network IT equipment.
- Keep a record of all IT Equipment and update the inventory list with the IT Manager.
- Provide technical training (IT) support to staff with the IT Manager
- Provide advice for purchasing new IT equipment.
- Keeping up to date with the latest technologies.
- Support IT problems for ACBAR members if asked
- To carry out any other related tasks requested by management
- Provide Technical support for AID (ACBAR Information database).
- Provide support to database users, troubleshoot, and prepare manuals and guidelines

- To post RFPs/ RFQs and EOIs in the website.
- To post notices on the website.
- Uploading necessary files on website.
- To identify and promote the site to others on the web (search engines and Afghan and international institutions)
- To archive outdated contents.
- Creating new queries & new users for the database (directory of addresses)
- Updating printable directory
- Providing support to website users via email/phone
- Solve the problem of all employers and jobseeker
Job Requirements

- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS operating systems
- Knowledge of virtualization, cloud services, and enterprise applications
- Understanding of TCP/IP and networking implementation
- Experience in designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting networks
- Proficient in establishing LAN and WAN environments
- Certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, or ITIL are an advantage
Professional Experience

- Experience working with both technical teams and end-users
